In what's become a running theme this season, the Butte Valley Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 44-20 margin over Tulelake. The victory was familiar territory for Butte Valley who now have three in a row.
Emely Ceniceros was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Morgan Anderson, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Tulelake lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alejandra Perez, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Butte Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Tulelake, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
Butte Valley will head out on the road to take on the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tulelake will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. Crosspoint Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Honkers in their respective states (the Warriors are ranked 217th in Oregon, while the Honkers are ranked 1032nd in California).
