Softball Recap: Bainbridge Wins Going Away Against Westover

Bainbridge won the last time they faced Westover and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bearcats blew past the Patriots 13-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bearcats.

Emsleigh Glass made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Glass was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taydem Burris, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylaha Hughes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run.

Bainbridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Bainbridge's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Westover, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bainbridge will take on Miller County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westover, they will challenge Cairo at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
