If the Solebury Spartans were riding high off their 44-13 takedown of Villa Victoria Academy back in December of 2023, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Solebury's rough 44-22 defeat to Kimberton Waldorf on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Solebury was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-4.
Kimberton Waldorf's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Estelle Donald, who scored eight points along with seven steals. Donald is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ciara O'Hara, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Solebury's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Kimberton Waldorf, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Solebury won't have much time to rest: their next match is against The City School at 6:00 a.m. on January 19th. The City School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 489th, while Solebury is ranked 228th). As for Kimberton Waldorf, they will head out on the road to square off against Peddie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Peddie has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
