Inderkum is 0-10 against Antelope since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Inderkum Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Antelope Titans at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Inderkum scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bella Vista 76-36 on the road. Given Inderkum's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Bella Vista is ranked 859th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Inderkum's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamiah Fontenberry, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Fontenberry hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Breahn Flood was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Antelope came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Roseville 73-19 at home.
Inderkum has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Antelope, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Inderkum was dealt a bruising 70-42 defeat at the hands of Antelope when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Antelope's Isabella Azzolino, who scored 20 points. Now that Inderkum knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
