The Blackhawk Cougars stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Freedom Area 67-47. The victory was familiar territory for Blackhawk who now have nine in a row.
Blackhawk was led to victory by Alena Fusetti and Aubree Hupp. Fusetti scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Hupp dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hupp has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Kinger, who scored eight points along with five assists and three steals.
Blackhawk's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Freedom Area, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blackhawk will take on Hopewell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopewell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while Blackhawk is ranked 66th). As for Freedom Area, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. Rochester will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
