The Aucilla Christian Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Franklin County Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Aucilla Christian's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Rutherford with a sharp 17-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Cooper Wiles was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 4.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Aucilla Christian: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Dalton Demott was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Shaw Lundy was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Aucilla Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Franklin County got the win against Jefferson County on Friday by a conclusive 14-0.
The team relied heavily on Sadiq Jones, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. Colby Blackburn also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Franklin County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. Aucilla Christian now has a winning record of 6-5.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Aucilla Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Franklin County struggles in that department as they've averaged .473. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Aucilla Christian came up short against Franklin County in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, falling 4-1. Can Aucilla Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
