North Platte had lost 11 games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 4-8  on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by  an  11-2 margin over the Chadron Cardinals. The Bulldogs not only won  on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win  since October 10, 2024 (when they won  25-8).
 Katie Titus made a splash no matter where she played. She  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   five  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lauren Bowers, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Those  two  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Aryadnna Reyna also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 North Platte  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chadron only posted  an  OBP of  .208.
As for Chadron, they moved to 7-3 with that  loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 16  runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
 On Chadron's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alex Rassmusen, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 North Platte will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against Highway 6 at 12:30  p.m. The Trailblazers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.33  runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chadron, they will be taking part in a tournament against Gering  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.3  runs per game this season.
