The Academy is a perfect 7-0 against Jefferson Academy since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. On Monday, The Academy got the win against Peak to Peak by a conclusive 11-5. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Finley Stark made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Stark was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

In other batting news, The Academy let Adrina Arenas and Harper Scott run wild. Arenas went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Scott went 3-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two RBI gave Arenas a new career-high.
The Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Peak to Peak hit Jefferson Academy with a five-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jaguars lost 11-1 to the Pumas.
Jefferson Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rilea Cordova, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Jefferson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-1. As for The Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. The Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Jefferson Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .487. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went The Academy's way against Jefferson Academy in their previous matchup back in September, as The Academy made off with a 12-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
