The Blackhawk Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight  matchups by 20  points or more this season. They blew past Ambridge 79-17 on the road. Blackhawk's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Blackhawk got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Alena Fusetti out in front who  scored 18 points along with four  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Piper Romigh, who  scored 17 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.
 The  victory was  the fifth in a row for Blackhawk, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Ambridge, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blackhawk will take on Quaker Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Quaker Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 481st, while Blackhawk is ranked 50th). As for Ambridge, they will look to defend their home court  on Thursday against Beaver at 7:30  p.m. Beaver is hoping to put an end to  a five-game streak of away losses.
