The Chowchilla Tribe will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Kings Christian Crusaders at 6:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Chowchilla was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-51 to Fowler. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chowchilla in their matchups with Fowler: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Chowchilla saw an underclassman step up: Nour Escheik dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. Escheik is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalaya Moore, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Kings Christian can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Laton, posting a 52-24 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Kings Christian who now have three in a row.
Chowchilla's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11. As for Kings Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
