Marquez won against Huntington Park last Friday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Marquez Gladiators were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the Mendez Jaguars. That's more bragging rights for the Gladiators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jason Gutierrez and Salvador Garcia did most of the damage at the plate: Gutierrez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Garcia scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Bryan Lopez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Marquez now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Marquez will host Roybal at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mendez, they will head out on the road to challenge Huntington Park at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
