After three games on the road, Princeton is heading back home. They will take on the Westwood Lumberjacks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Westwood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Princeton, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Princeton got the win against Paradise Adventist Academy by a conclusive 43-21. The win was just what Princeton needed coming off of a 55-21 loss in their prior contest.
Princeton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mackenzie Wills, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Wills has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Starlin Smith, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Westwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 55-21 loss at the hands of Plumas Charter. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Westwood in their matchups with Plumas Charter: they've now lost three in a row.
Princeton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Westwood, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
Princeton strolled past Westwood in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 32-18. Will Princeton repeat their success, or does Westwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
