Antioch hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Antioch will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Antioch's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Deer Valley 12-0. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Zack Gregson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gregson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Stanton Westhorpe and Kamari Davis did most of the damage at the plate: Westhorpe went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Davis went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Antioch is 2-1 when Davis posts two or more runs, but 6-11 otherwise. David Pena also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Antioch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deer Valley didn't got any hits.
Heritage came out on top against Freedom on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Patriots put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Heritage saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Stevens, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one run. Trevor Thomas was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
The victory (which was Heritage's third in a row) raised their record to 16-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Antioch, their record now sits at 8-12.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Antioch has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Antioch might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Heritage in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
