The Orthopaedic Vipers entered their tilt with the Central City Value Jaguars with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Orthopaedic welcomed the New Year with a 20-16 win over Central City Value. For Orthopaedic, this counts as revenge for the 22-13 defeat Central City Value walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Central City Value's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Heydi Lopez, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Orthopaedic's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Central City Value, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orthopaedic will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Annenberg at 2:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Central City Value will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on USC-MAE at 3:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024. USC-MAE's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Central City Value's offense will have their work cut out for Central City Value.
