Adreana Salvador was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Summer Sallee was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Jayanah Nuckols was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Larue County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Hart County 2-0. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
The result came thanks to Ellee Marksbury's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Larue County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklynn Skaggs, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Larue County's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Caverna, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
