Dana Hills found their leader in underclassman Kayla Rice, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Rice's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Lola Bellon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Anaheim's loss dropped their record down to 14-1. As for Dana Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Anaheim and Whittier Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Whittier Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while Anaheim is ranked 80th). As for Dana Hills, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against San Bernardino at 6:30 p.m. San Bernardino is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
