The Lompoc Braves will take on the Maranatha Minutemen in a tournament on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Lompoc and Nipomo have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Braves blew past the Titans 13-6. The victory continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won nine in a row.

Riley Hendrickson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
At the plate, Stone Kubasiewicz was incredible, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Aidan Vallarta was another key player, earning one RBI and three runs.
Meanwhile, Maranatha had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Heralds 3-1.
Matthew Vazquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dylan Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Suslow, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Maranatha's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Lompoc, their record now sits at 11-6.
