The Skipstone Academy Warriors will head out to  challenge the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Trinity Christian School of Griffin took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Skipstone Academy, who comes in off a win.
While Skipstone Academy's  win against Peoples Baptist Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Knights  8-6. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

 Jace Wilson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
 In other pitching news,  Gage Wheat looked comfortable as he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 Back at the plate,  Carter Cook was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kade Gregory, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian School of Griffin lost  20-10 to CrossPointe Christian Academy on Friday.
 Trinity Christian School of Griffin got a  massive  performance out of  Jakyi Armstrong, who  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Armstrong also  hit a  double, marking his first of the season.  Jeremiah Greene was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Skipstone Academy's record now sits at 3-10. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, their loss was  their sixth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-10.
 Skipstone Academy took their  win against Trinity Christian School of Griffin  in their previous meeting  back in March by a conclusive  9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
