Simi Valley has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Moorpark Musketeers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Simi Valley is ranked 570th, while Moorpark is ranked 546th).
Simi Valley suffered their biggest loss since November 29, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Oak Park, falling 78-39. Simi Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-24.
Despite the loss, Simi Valley got a solid performance out of Sahasra Anne, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Moorpark came up short against Temple City on Saturday and fell 44-32. Moorpark has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Simi Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-14. As for Moorpark, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Simi Valley beat Moorpark 55-44 in their previous matchup on January 5th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Simi Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
