Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Assumption). They put the hurt on the Clinton River Kings with a sharp 16-6 victory on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Assumption pushed their record up to 13-10-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Clinton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Assumption beat the River Kings by a score of 21-0 later that day.
