The power rankings have been shaken up after a frantic week teeming with triumph and disappointment. Among the action were the efforts of Blaine's senior Jack Haring, an offensive menace who scored five total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Blaine got a 56 - 20 win over Cretin-Derham Hall last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Jack Haring. Haring finished up with 303 yards passing and three rushing touchdowns. That performance made Haring one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Minnetonka (3rd in the power rankings) and Prior Lake (5th). Minnetonka came out on top in a nail-biter against Prior Lake, sneaking past 9 - 7. The win boosted Minnetonka a satisfying seven spots in the power rankings.
Game of Inches
Eden Prairie repeated its 35-point performance from the game before for another record-booster in its most recent game. It can thank its lucky stars for its win over Wayzata. The final score was a hard-fought 35 - 34. The outcome was a definite jolt of excitement for Eden Prairie after its previous game, where the margin was anything but close. The razor-thin margin made this game the most thrilling one of the week.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Lakeville North (1st in the power rankings) and Wayzata (6th). Lakeville North is backed by a win while Wayzata is motivated by a recent defeat. We'll see if Lakeville North can add another positive mark to its record or if Wayzata can shake off its loss and take the spring out of Lakeville North's step.
