The Hancock Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Bremen Braves at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hancock took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Muchin College Prep get on the board and left with a 14-0 win.

Eduardo Hernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Hancock is 8-3 when Hernandez posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-8-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Ostrowski, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and one triple while going 4-for-4. That's the most home runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Saul Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Hancock lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Bremen made easy work of Argo on Friday and carried off a 6-0 victory.
Like Hancock, Bremen also got a great game from a two-way player: Aiden Gonzales. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Gonzales was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Aidan Mansanarez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Casey Mansanarez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Hancock has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Bremen, their record is now 10-14.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hancock has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .501. However, it's not like Bremen struggles in that department as they've averaged .454. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
