After a string of five wins, Callaway's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pike County Pirates. The Cavaliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Callaway saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Butts, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Callaway's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pike County, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.

While Callaway had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
