Christian and Palisades squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Palisades Dolphins, falling 76-56. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their 19-game winning streak.

Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maepon Johnson, who posted 18 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, and Leah Speers, who put up 16 points and four steals. Johnson's big performance that evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra Weckback, who had five points and seven rebounds.

Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 25-5. As for Palisades, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-15 record this season.

Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palisades, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-55 loss against Mater Dei Catholic on the 8th.
