Recruiting attention and accolades aside, there's a clear contrast between the two programs. With eight state championships and two national titles since the 1990s, St. Thomas Aquinas has a catbird seat among the elite programs Florida high school football. In contrast, Hallandale is a program just starting to come into its own. Last year was only its fifth winning season in the last 11 years.

Joshua Hammond is the highest-rated prospect for Hallandale (3-0). The Florida commit as well as three-star cornerback
Deion Jackson (Miami) are rated among the Top 55 prospects in Florida.
