In what's become a running theme this season, the Blackhawk Cougars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 58-10 win over Hopewell. The victory was nothing new for Blackhawk as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Blackhawk was led to victory by Alena Fusetti and Aubree Hupp. Fusetti scored 16 points along with three steals, while Hupp scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. Fusetti is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Pagani, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Blackhawk pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Hopewell, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Blackhawk will be playing in front of their home fans against Ambridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ambridge is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Hopewell, they will head out on the road to square off against Quaker Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Quaker Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday.
