Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Katella

Katella entered their tilt with Kennedy on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Fighting Irish. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory on Tuesday.

Julian Bustos was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Barba, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Katella was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Katella's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Kennedy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-11.

Looking ahead, Katella will host Costa Mesa at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 2.7, the Mustangs 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Kennedy, they will venture away from home to take on University at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
