The Lynbrook Vikings will head out to take on the Gilroy Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Lynbrook gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Gunderson as they made off with an 11-5 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lynbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gunderson only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Gilroy got the win against North Monterey County on Saturday by a conclusive 12-2. Fans of the Mustangs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Mitchell Friebel looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
On the hitting side, Evan Passama was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Matthew Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Gilroy's record is now 3-0. As for Lynbrook, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Lynbrook might still be hurting after the 14-1 loss they got from Gilroy when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
