Chanhassen moved up to 35 from 75 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Missota. The Storm climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Chaska 20-14.
Chanhassen and the Hawks played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Chanhassen eventually emerging with a 20-14 victory. Ryan McGuire threw for 84 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 80 yards in the win.
Bill Rosburg's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Nathan Johnson chipped in 204 yards. Jake Guy helped Chanhassen's passing attack out by catching two balls for 10 yards.
Jared Lea was the best wideout in the league this week as the Storm defeated Chaska. Lea racked up five receptions for 74 yards.
Chanhassen's McGuire and Lea have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Missota in both passing and receiving yards. McGuire has thrown for 843 yards this season, while Lea, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 32 catches for 539 yards. Nick Larson from Shakopee leads the league in rushing with 1111 yards.
The Storm's Johnson is a mere 48 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 163 carries Johnson has accumulated 952 yard this year.
