When it comes to explaining why Lowpoint-Washburn lost, one person who can't be blamed is Baylor Steffen. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with four steals. Steffen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. Kody Knecht was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Lowpoint-Washburn has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
