It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Eastside Lions had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed by the Spartans at home to the tune of 60-28. The victory was familiar territory for Eastside who now have 14 in a row.
Niela Marshall continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominique Burnett, who scored ten points.
Eastside's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Schurr, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season.
Eastside will face off against Packinghouse Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Packinghouse Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Schurr does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
