The Aquinas Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Woodcrest Christian 80-22 at home. Considering Aquinas has won four contests by more than 28 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Aquinas to victory were Madeleine Barker and Madeleine De Kodia. Barker scored 19 points along with five rebounds, while De Kodia dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten steals. The game was De Kodia's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Perrine Allou, who scored 11 points.
The win was the third in a row for Aquinas, bringing their record for this year to 9-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Woodcrest Christian, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
Aquinas and Elsinore will round out the year against one another at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at. Woodcrest Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arrowhead Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
