The King City Mustangs won the last time they faced the Pacific Collegiate Pumas, and things went their way on Saturday too. King City had just enough and edged Pacific Collegiate out 27-25.
King City was led to victory by Amity Hearne and Janesa Lopez. Hearne scored a point along with 13 rebounds, while Lopez scored 15 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season.
King City's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Pacific Collegiate, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Francis the next time they take the court. King City will host St. Francis at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, while Pacific Collegiate will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
