The Windsor Academy Knights will head out to face off against the Covenant Academy Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Covenant Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Windsor Academy, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Windsor Academy made easy work of Crisp Academy and carried off a 13-3 victory. Considering the Knights have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Dawson Sims made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Windsor Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-10 otherwise. Sims was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Windsor Academy got a massive performance out of Lake Lesak, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Lesak is becoming a predictor of the Knights' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 7-11 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jaden Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Windsor Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Covenant Academy came up short against Trinity Christian on Tuesday, falling 11-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost seven in a row.
Windsor Academy's record now sits at 10-11. As for Covenant Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Windsor Academy might still be hurting after the 20-9 defeat they got from Covenant Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
