The Jefferson Grizzlies lost against the El Camino Colts back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Jefferson fell 59-46 to El Camino. Jefferson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Erin Panaligan, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Panaligan pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Wang, who scored ten points along with five assists and two steals.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for El Camino, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.
Jefferson will head out on the road to challenge Westmoor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westmoor will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for El Camino, they will be playing at home against Terra Nova at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
