The Milton Yellowjackets will venture away from home to square off against the Mt. Abraham Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Milton was handed a 17-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Vergennes. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Commodores recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Sawyer DiMario spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.

Maxton Greenfield
| 05/26/26 @ Vergennes | 4 |
| 05/21/26 @ Missisquoi Valley | 2 |
| 05/02/26 @ Bellows Free Academy | 2 |
| 05/19/26 vs Middlebury | 1 |
On the hitting side, Maxton Greenfield was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Milton: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Tomasi, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Mt. Abraham faced off against Missisquoi Valley on Tuesday. The Eagles never let the Thunderbirds get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Evan Corrigan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Barnard, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Abe Ready, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Milton's record is now 4-9. As for Mt. Abraham, their record now sits at 11-1-1.
Milton suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Mt. Abraham in their previous matchup last Saturday. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
