Nuview Bridge has gone 8-2 against Santa Rosa Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Knights will square off against the Rangers at 3:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Nuview Bridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Ojai Valley a 16-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.

Not much got past Johnny Aguiluz, who gave up just seven hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Ojai Valley off the board. Aguiluz also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nuview Bridge is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Christian Flores and Carson Lagor did most of the damage at the plate: Flores got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Lagor went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Flores has posted since back in March. Nelson Lara was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Nuview Bridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Santa Rosa Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Mustangs 11-0.
Maxwell Dupree made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Dupree was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.
In other batting news, Luke Hamilton was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Cole Ulrick, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
The victory got Santa Rosa Academy back to even at 12-12. As for Nuview Bridge, their record is now 14-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Nuview Bridge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Santa Rosa Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Nuview Bridge beat Santa Rosa Academy 13-9 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rangers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
