Kansas City Chiefs quarterback
Patrick Mahomes has partnered with adidas to supply 15 high school football programs with new uniforms and gear including his Gladiator logo.
"Seeing this Gladiator logo ... which has become part of my identity on a
Whitehouse jersey means everything to me," Mahomes told
Chiefs Wire.
"It's a symbol of what we stood for when I was at Whitehouse. That
mindset of giving everything you got and never backing down is something
I've carried with me through every stage of my career. And now it is
something I hope inspires the next generation of athletes across the
country."
The schools are spread out from Texas to Florida, Georgia to California and Michigan to Missouri and will have their own shopping pages where fans can purchase replica jerseys, T-shirts, polos and other clothing.
Last year, Mahomes and Texas Tech unveiled a new dark grey uniform for his college alma mater with the Gladiator logo.
Mahomes was a three-sport standout at Whitehouse, excelling in football, basketball and baseball. In addition to throwing for 8,458 career yards in football, he scored 49 points in a basketball game, tossed a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts in baseball and was the MaxPreps National Athlete of the Year for 2013-14.
