Basketball Recap: Paul Robeson Piles Up the Points Against High School of the Future

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paul Robeson). They really took it to High School of the Future for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-10 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-5.

Paul Robeson was led to victory by Ashley Robinson and Amodjonae Mitchell. Robinson posted 19 points and seven assists, while Mitchell earned 23 points and five rebounds. Those seven assists gave Robinson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamyshia Shell, who had ten points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Paul Robeson was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory (which was Paul Robeson's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for High School of the Future, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Paul Robeson and High School of the Future will both be playing South Philadelphia the next time they take the court. Paul Robeson will host South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, while High School of the Future will head out to face them at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
