Softball Recap: Depew Has No Trouble Against Wetumka

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Depew). They blew past the Wetumka Chieftains 10-1 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Depew's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Wetumka, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Depew will venture away from home to take on Olive at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wetumka, they will head out to square off against Savanna at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.29 runs per game on average), something the Chieftains will no doubt try to take advantage of.
