After a string of three wins, Victoria East's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 59-51 to the Brenham Cubs.

Victoria East's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10. As for Brenham, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Victoria East and King will face off at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Brenham, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Seguin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Brenham knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Seguin likes a good challenge.
