Granite Bay and Davis Sr. are an even 4-4 against one another  since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Grizzlies will take on the Blue Devils at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Granite Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Inderkum  5-4. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Grizzlies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Pierce Fondren looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jace Bystrowski, who  went 1-for-3 with three  stolen bases and one  run. He is becoming a predictor of Granite Bay's success: when he posts  at  least two  stolen bases the team is 4-2 (and 7-15 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was  Adejare Williams, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
Meanwhile, Davis Sr.'s hitters rose to the challenge against an Eagles pitching crew that boasted an average of only four  runs allowed on Wednesday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over Enochs. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Blue Devils.
 Cade Castles made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Castles was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI. Those  two  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  William Donald was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.  Jackson Vogt was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Davis Sr.  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .636. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Granite Bay's record now sits at 11-17. As for Davis Sr., their record is now 19-9-1.
 Granite Bay couldn't quite finish off Davis Sr. in their previous matchup  back in April and fell  7-5. Can the Grizzlies avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
