Greenfield is 0-10 against Carmel since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Greenfield Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Carmel Padres at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Greenfield's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Carmel has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for Greenfield, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-34 loss to Soledad.
Meanwhile, Carmel came up short against Soledad on Friday and fell 41-28. While losing is never fun, Carmel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1213th, while Soledad is ranked 582nd).
The losing side was boosted by Savanna Radowicz, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ava Mangiapane, who scored six points.
Greenfield's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Greenfield came up short against Carmel in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 53-42. Can Greenfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
