The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens won the last time they faced the Chula Vista Spartans, and things went their way on Monday too. Canyon Crest Academy came out on top against Chula Vista by a score of 46-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Canyon Crest Academy.
Canyon Crest Academy can attribute much of their success to Sofia Colon, who scored 14 points. Colon continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caroline Dysart, who scored eight points.
Canyon Crest Academy now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Chula Vista, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Canyon Crest Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rancho Buena Vista at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Rancho Buena Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday. As for Chula Vista, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Otay Ranch at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Otay Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday.
