Chippewa Valley won the last time they faced Utica Ford and things went their way on Friday too. The Chippewa Valley Big Reds pulled ahead with a 53-52 photo finish over the Utica Ford Falcons. Winning may never get old, but the Big Reds sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Utica Ford's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Johnson Jr, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 16 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks Johnson Jr has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eli Miller, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Chippewa Valley pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two points across that stretch. As for Utica Ford, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7.

Coming up, Chippewa Valley will face off against L'Anse Creuse North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chippewa Valley will be up against L'Anse Creuse North's rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.88 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Utica Ford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
