Even though the Franklin Knights have not done well against the Grove City Eagles recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Franklin had just enough and edged Grove City out 34-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Franklin.
Franklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamie Blum, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jennifer Blum, who scored 9 points.
The win got Franklin back to even at 2-2. As for Grove City, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Franklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Hickory at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Grove City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sharpsville at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
