The Motivation Jaguars had to endure an 11-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 36-29 win over John Bartram on Wednesday. The win was just what Motivation needed coming off of a 40-16 loss in their prior matchup.
John Bartram's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Trammel Guyton, who scored 11 points along with four steals, and Ramiyah Garner who scored 13 points. Guyton scored a full 37.9% of John Bartram's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Motivation's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1. As for John Bartram, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Motivation will be home for the holidays to greet Mastery Charter Hardy Williams at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. John Bartram will be home for the holidays to greet Frankford at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Frankford's defense has only allowed 22.3 points per game this season, so John Bartram's offense will have their work cut out for John Bartram.
