Basketball Recap: Plumas Charter Sets Scoring Season-High Against Chester

Plumas Charter scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 48-32 bruising from the Chester Volcanoes. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-14 last Friday.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lucy Joesph, who posted 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Schramel, who earned two points and 15 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Plumas Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Plumas Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Chester, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Plumas Charter and Paradise Adventist Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Plumas Charter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Chester will take on Plumas Charter in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
