You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Laguna Creek's strategy against Franklin on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Laguna Creek Cardinals blew the Franklin Wildcats out of the water with a 72-33 final score. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Laguna Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jestine Tofi, who posted 15 points and three blocks. Tofi has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Trinity Thao was another key player, putting up 16 points and six assists.

Laguna Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Laguna Creek has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Franklin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.

Sheldon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.3 points per game this season. As for Franklin, they will face off against Monterey Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Monterey Trail will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Franklin surely won't give up without a fight.
