Santa Maria's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nevaeh Madrigal led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Reyes, who scored 8 points along with 7 steals and 6 assists.
Santa Maria's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Atascadero, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
